Credit Recovery - ScienceCredit Recovery & AccelerationThis summer, Credit Recovery and Acceleration sessions will be offered to help students earn the necessary academic credits. In partnership with Insight Online School of Minnesota, courses are offered virtually. On-site study hall, meals, and transportation are offered to interested students. Age Group: Students entering grades 10-12 in fall 2026. Eligibility: Students must be enrolled at BCCS to participate. Program Dates: June 15th - July 23rd Program Time: Times may vary (On-site Study Hall Hours 9:30 am - 2:00 pm) Cost: Free Transportation: Provided for those who qualify. Girls On The RunSTEPGirls on the Run inspires individuals of all abilities to discover, build, and grow their self-confidence. Together, they experience a sense of belonging and connection as a team. Volunteer coaches facilitate lessons that blend physical activity with life skill development, including managing emotions, fostering friendships, and expressing empathy. At the end of the season, the team completes a Community Impact Project and a 5K together, which provides a tangible sense of accomplishment and sets a confident mindset into motion.STEP Spring 26 -
Grupo Pequeño para Familias Latinos (Distrito 286)Adult EnrichmentGrupo Pequeño para Familias Latinos (Distrito 286) Estamos ofreciendo un grupo pequeño virtual para padres, madres o tutores latinos del Distrito 286. Este grupo está diseñado para crear un espacio seguro y de apoyo para familias que comparten experiencias similares dentro del mismo distrito escolar. Detalles Fecha de inicio: martes, 3 de marzo de 2026 Horario: cada dos martes (si es posible) Hora: 3:30 p. m. – 5:30 p. m. Duración: 6 sesiones en total Ubicación: virtual (enlace privado de Zoom) ¿Qué pueden esperar? Este grupo se enfocará en las fortalezas, la conexión y las experiencias compartidas. Las familias tendrán un espacio para: Expresar sus sentimientos y experiencias en un ambiente seguro Reconocer similitudes y diferencias entre familias (no están solas) Compartir tanto o tan poco como se sientan cómodos Aprender y hablar sobre la salud mental de manera respetuosa y sin juicios El grupo comenzará con una presentación para ayudar a que las familias se sientan seguras y bienvenidas, compartiendo quiénes son y de quiénes son padres, madres o tutores. También iniciaremos con una conversación sobre qué es la salud mental y qué esperamos lograr juntos durante estas sesiones. Half Day Pre-KPre-KindergartenIn Pre-K, our 4 year old students spend time working on Social and Emotional Learning while working on Pre-K skills, including name writing, letter identification, letter sounds, picture naming, rhyming, alliteration, Concepts About Print (CAP) skills, and so much more. Active learning time gives students the opportunity to practice being a good friend and sharing in a safe and teacher-guided environment. Program options include: Morning Session: Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Afternoon Session: Monday - Friday from 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. *Please note - Registration is not complete until Brooklyn Center Droplet registration is completed online. Half-Day 3's Preschool3’s Preschool - AM (3 years old 9/1) Who it’s for: 3-year-olds who attend preschool only in the morning Schedule: 7:30 AM–10:15 AM Focus: Structured preschool learning in a short, morning session Child Care Option: After school child care from 10:15-2:30 is offered to AM students only. Please see the After Preschool Child Care site to enroll. Extended day child care is also offered from 2:30-5:00pm through Centaur Plus, if interested, please see the Centaur Plus site to enroll. 3’s Preschool - PM (3 years old by 9/1) Who it’s for: 3-year-olds who attend preschool in the afternoon Schedule: 11:30 AM–2:15 PM Focus: Same preschool curriculum as the AM option, just later in the day Child Care: Child Care is offered through Centaur Plus from 2:30-5:00pm.
